Production Associate

Reports to:

Production Area Supervisor

Scope of position:

General labor position assigned to various duties throughout the plant including Shot blasting, Washing, Prep work including masking, Finishing, Assembly, Packaging, Material Handling, etc …

Qualifications:

  1. 1-3 years of manufacturing experience desired.
  2. High School Diploma or GED.
  3. Good Communications and problem solving skills.
  4. Mechanically inclined.

Typical Work Hours:

Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 3:30 PM-12:00 AM with½ hour for lunch. Work hours may vary to meet needs of organization. Hourly Position.

Tasks and Duties:

  1. Keep work area clean and well organized throughout the work shift.
  2. Work safely at all times following safe work procedures and policies.
  3. Understand customer quality expectations and processes required to exceed those expectations.
  4. Evaluate product quality before beginning work to avoid costly rework.
  5. Ensure product is hung safely before transporting product.
  6. Operate forklifts and lifting equipment and only do so if properly trained and authorized.
  7. Handle products and equipment with care to ensure it is not damaged.
  8. Clean and maintain equipment associated with your job duties including racking and hangers.
  9. Follow defined Standard Operating Procedures and company policies.
  10. Perform designated quality checks and stop the product from continuing on if abnormal conditions exist.
  11. Set equipment to appropriate operating parameters.
  12. Communicate and work with other Production Associates, Paint Technicians, Leads, Supervisors, Scheduling, Management to ensure products are completed in a timely fashion while maintaining quality.
  13. Understand the causes of rework and work to avoid.
  14. Fill out necessary documentation and ensure products are labeled properly and legibly.
  15. Assist supervisor with training new employees to Standard Operating Procedures as assigned.
  16. Assist supervisor with revising Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
  17. Report any abnormalities in the operation to your supervisor, lead or manager.
  18. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are often noisy, hot, or cold with industrial odors and dust present in the workplace.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  1. Safety Glasses with side shields.
  2. ANSI Safety Toe Footwear.
  3. Wear full length pants.
  4. Wear respirator as needed.
  5. Hearing Protection as needed
  6. Hard Hat as needed.
